Day 2: Our New England breakfast spread sets the relaxed pace for the day. As we cycle through Litchfield Countys rolling hills and winding country lanes, you may take your time to photograph colonial homes, farms, and grazing horses. We bicycle around scenic lakes, past waterfalls, and visit antique and craft shops before finishing our ride at Lake Waramaug, a New England treasure reminiscent of the Swiss and Austrian lake districts. (basic route: 24 miles easy/moderate, extended route: 42 miles moderate) Day 3: After breakfast, we cycle along Lake Waramaug on our way to Kent -- home of the Bicycle Tour Company. Once an iron-works center, Kent is now the areas largest gathering of art galleries and antiques shops. We continue north alongside the Housatonic River to Kent Falls. Before we lay out our checkered blanket for a picnic, riders can take a short hike up the falls or wade their feet in the water. Our journey continues to West Cornwall and to one of Connecticuts 19th-century covered bridges. (basic route: 25 miles easy/moderate, extended route: 48 miles moderate/challenging) REQUEST A
